Doug Hamilton began his construction career in 1981 after graduating from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo with an honors degree in Construction Engineering. His professional development spans the full spectrum of engineering construction. From his beginnings as a pipe layer for Soiland Company, his skills quickly grew to where he was managing multiple and concurrent multi-million dollar projects in his 13 years of service with NBC.
Doug’s commitment to the construction industry has twice garnered him the prestigious "Contractor of the Year Award" from the Northern California Engineering Contractors Association (NCECA), where he has served as the association’s President. He shares his construction knowledge teaching Construction Management through the ECA and at Sonoma State University. His commitment to the industry is matched by his company's commitment to community, which includes volunteering both personal time and company's assets to a wide variety of community service organizations and projects, every year.
"As Oak Grove Construction's owner and president, my focus is on our clients and their projects. I build relationships between our team, a project's owners, their design and engineering professionals, and geotechnical engineers to construct lasting improvements that everyone will be proud of."
